My Sally, chihuahua rescue I had 5 years until she died at the whopping age of 21. She lived somewhere outside a lot and there were 15 dogs there. She got loved and spoiled with me and my boys. All the dogs in the video passed away before her. It was a sad time in my life. Sally went blind one year after I had her. Something I wish I did was do more about her blindness. I just thought I would give her a retirement home. But, I feel now that if I had spent the 2500 bucks to fix one eye she actually would have lived longer. She could find her way all around the house with the help of her ears and bumping her head. But, I should have done better. I should have got a comfy cone, angel wings, or the eye surgery. She eventually bumped her head and had open cut and fell over and had cuts in her mouth from the fall. So, I hope you all working with blind pets do go out of your way and get something that can help. I sell comfy cones in my salon at www.myfavoritegroomer.com now. I loved miss Sally tremendously. In her care I learned patience, how getting old hurts everybody, and love. I'll never forget her. And as she got older, heightened sounds helped us communicate.
